Jaçanã is located in the Trairí Region, on the border with the State of Paraíba. Two events mark the cultural life of the city: The Handicraft Fair, a three day event where the artesans and producers present their products, such as artefacts in sisal, vegetable sponges, material, costume jewelry, etc.., and the traditional Caju Festival. Jaçanã produces around 150 thousand tons of fruit a year and the objective of the Festival is to promote the cultivation of caju(the cashew fruit) and agrobusiness in general.

Leave Natal, by BR-226 to Santa Cruz, then take RN- 023 to Jaçanã.
