The city of Portalegre is located in the High West Potiguar and for whoever likes adventure is ideal to enjoy the almost untouched nature of the mountain region. The exuberant vegetation and the view that can be admired from the various belvederes that surrround the city. The most well known are the Bela Vista and the da Ponta da Serra, a ravine with depressions on the surface accumulating rain water and forming natural pools. Another point of interest is the handicraft of sleeping hammocks.
